Social Studies Uncut, in Partnership with Digital Promise

In partnership with Digital Promise, we brought together diverse, future-forward social studies content providers that embody cultural relevance and reflect students’ histories and experiences to showcase their offerings to districts and educators across the country. Participants heard from students about the need for cultural inclusivity in the classroom. Ashley Naranjo, Education and Outreach Strategist, Smithsonian Institution and Tommy Chang, CEO, New Teacher Center discussed the value of fostering appreciation for diversity in identities, cultures, and perspectives through various resources.  Educators were able to hear from the following solution providers about the resources being offered for students and/or teachers:

  • Design for Change USA

  • Great First Eight

  • The Morgan Project

  • Reconstruction

  • Teaching for Change
    True Fiktion

Each solution provider received interest to learn more about partnering to provide solutions for schools.
